The Wizard of Smaug

    This text file has been sent to you in response to a personal request you have registered with the 
author.  This text file is not to be distributed, or to be considered public domain.  You may only make 
copies of this file (in any medium, including printing) for archival purposes. 
    The differences between this, and previous, versions of the Wizard of Smaug are as follows.  
First, the original 21 chapters have been rearanged into 10 longer chapters.  These ten chapters have 
also been edited.  An eleventh chapter, unfinished and unedited, is included with this manuscript. 
    The author hopes to eventually develop the Wizard of Smaug stories into a full length novel.  Any 
comments or criticisms will be gratefully received.  These can be sent to cbnorman@descartes.uwaterloo.ca 
or bruce@pvs.montreal.qc.ca.
    The fact that you have received this file means you have been placed on the Wizard of Smaug mailing 
list.  You will receive periodic updates on the status of the Wizard of Smaug, plus (possibly) new 
chapters as they are written.  You may request to be removed from this mailing list at any time.
    Lastly, I would like to recommend Terry Pratchet's Diskworld novels, for anyone who likes 
humorous fantasy.
