You're a Listener and you don't get it... 

Engineers are probably the smartest people in radio.. It doesn't take a lot of brains to be a GM or PD, you just gotta know how to schmooze and blame other people for the station's problems.. Engineers, on the other hand, have to actually make things work.  This requires some gray matter.  Along with this intelligence comes a twisted sense of humor that is often used by engineers to amuse themselves at the expense of the lower life forms in the radio food chain.

KRUD Listener Tip:   Many listeners  write us wanting to know how to get into radio.  We predict those same people will write us in 10 years or so wanting to know how to get out of radio.  Do we need to explain this listener tip further? Since you are a listener.. probably, but we don't have the time. Go ahead, ruin what might have been a productive life.  Get into radio.  Everyone knows there's a shortage of "air talent" in the world.
